Firefly Lane
Firefly Lane is the adaptation of Kristin Hannah’s book ‘Firefly Lane’. The story is about 2 female friends who develop an unlikely strong friendship and face their life circumstances together from their teenage years to the adulthood timeline, they are in currently. But somehow their friendship is broken in the current timeline and the whole series is the flashback of their past lives with respect to present one.
What I love about the series is the bond of friendship the two girls share with each other. This series is a prime example of ‘opposites attract’. Light-hearted and lovely!
Firefly Lane is available on Netflix till season 2 part 1. Part 2 will soon be available to watch from April 2023.
Outlander
Outlander is one such television series which is going to feature in a lot of my lists because I personally love it too much. Outlander has a total of 6 seasons till now and the whole series is based on the books written by Diana Gabaldon called ‘Outlander series’ which consists of 9 published books and 10th book is in the process of writing as per the author.
Outlander is the historical fantasy time travel romance in which nurse Claire Randall accidently time travels to 18th century Scotland from 20th century Scotland. Here she meets Jamie Fraser, a Scottish soldier who is a part of Jacobite rebellion. They fall in love with each other and navigate the dangerous world together.
For me this series has everything from romance to adventure to fantasy, basically it caters to almost every genre. A must watch!

Anne with an E
Anne with an E is loosely based on children’s literature book called Anne of Green Gables published in 1908. It follows the adventure of young orphan girl called Anne who gets adopted by an elderly brother and sister to help out in their farm in Green Gables.
Anne is the one character I adore. She is a delightful, feisty young girl who lives more in her imaginary world than the reality. She is full of life and not afraid to speak her mind.
This series has 3 seasons in total, all available on Netflix to stream.
Good Omens
Good omens is based on Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett novel of the same name. This is the story of Angel Aziraphale and Demon Crowley who both love earth and want to save it from approaching Armageddon. In order to do that they form an unlikely alliance and work together. This follows a series of events which are outrageously funny and entertaining keeping you on the edge of your seat the whole time.
Good omens is a very quick watch as well because it has only 1 season which is available on Amazon prime to stream.
Normal People
I saved best for the last! Normal people is one of my favorite series, I have binged watched it at least 4 times and every time it brings out a lot of emotions in me. This limited series is based on Sally Rooney book of the same name. It follows the story of two people Connell and Marianne who fall in love with each other in school but break up and then again become part of each other’s life. The emotional journey shown in the series of both the characters with each other and individually is just mind blowing. This is one series I highly recommend.
