Animated Movies I love and recommend: Part 2

Hotel Transylvania

It’s safe to assume that I love all things related to vampires, no matter it’s a TV show or a book or a movie. I can even watch subpar content if the story has vampires in them, but this movie series is absolutely first class. It’s a story about Count Dracula living in his Transylvania castle with his daughter, hiding her and himself from the human world but things change when a boy comes wandering around their castle and Dracula’s already curious daughter gets more intrigued by the outside world.

Movies are absolutely hilarious, and such a delight to watch. At the moment, there are 4 Hotel Transylvania movies, and each one is worth the watch!

    Encanto

Encanto is such a magical musical movie about a girl Mirabel who is a part of a family where everyone is gifted with some kind of unique gift except Mirabel. Naturally, she is distressed and trying to figure out why she has not been gifted yet. The story addresses some serious topics like family expectations and generational trauma in such a beautiful way that it definitely deserves an applaud. There is such an amazing message at the core of this movie that everyone needs to watch it, at least once!

    Inside out

Inside out is a hugely popular, multi-award winning movie. It follows the story of a young girl Riley and her five core emotions – anger, fear, joy, disgust, and sadness dealing with her day-to-day actions. The story is shown from the point of view of Riley’s emotions, how Joy acts as a leader and tries to hide sadness but eventually realizes that sometimes feeling sad is also an important part of growth.

The concept of the movie is spectacular and very well done. I also loved the second part of the movie where Riley is now a teenager and experiences more complex emotions such as anxiety, embarrassment, etc. I highly recommend everyone, especially adults as well, to watch it.

    Migration

Migration is a movie about a family of ducks where the son tries to convince their overprotective father to go to Jamaica for the vacation. The story is all about their adventures on their journey. It’s quite a funny and entertaining movie to watch. It can be a quite nice weekend watch with your kids!

    Finding Nemo

Finding Nemo is quite an old movie released in 2003. Chances are that you might have already seen it and if not, then this should be first on your list to watch. A clown fish family lives peacefully in the Great Barrier Reef but when the son, Nemo gets tangled in a diver’s net and gets lost, his father sets out to find him and, on his journey, he meets with another fish named Dory who has memory issues and forgets things easily. Both of them decide to find Nemo together. It is such a wonderful movie; you will definitely get hooked throughout the movie and fall in love with the characters. Highly recommended!
