Taste of India, East Ham
This south Indian restaurant located in East Ham, London is perfect for the days when you are in a mood for some dosa, idli or uttapam. Whenever I visit here I have my signature order – Masala dosa and filter coffee. The portion size of the food is quite good and its nominal on your pocket as well. This restaurant has multiple branches across London.
Moreover, if you are in a mood for South Indian food and want to explore other options, there are plenty of those in this area from big brands like Saravanaa Bhavan to Adyar Ananda Bhavan to relatively unknown places like Vasantha Vilas.
Vijaya Krishna, Tooting Broadway
This restaurant is famous for its Kerala cuisine and widely popular for it. I found this place to be a very sweet, cozy, neat and homely. I tried their lamb malabar, chilli chicken and malabar parantha – all were fantastic. I highly recommend for good non vegetarian as I tried that only.
Biryani Kebab Chai, Edgware Road
As the name suggests, this restaurant is famous for its BKC. I tried their lamb kebabs with rumali roti and dahi k kebab. They were fresh and delicious. So, if you are craving for some good kebabs (veg or non-veg), I highly recommend trying this outlet.
The Kati Roll Company, Poland street
This small, busy restaurant in the middle of the central London is popular for their kati rolls. If you are tired from the busy day of shopping or exploring the central London, you can stop here for a quick bite which would amazingly fit your tummy and pocket. Extra points for their décor dedicated to Bollywood.
Chokhi Dhani, Nine Elms
Yes, this hugely popular restaurant chain back in India for their Rajasthani cuisine has opened its branch in London as well. They have carried on their standard of quality, amazing ambience, hospitality here too. I highly recommend this place if you are craving for some good dal bati churma. It is guaranteed to transport you back to Rajasthan.
