Romantic movies I can watch multiple times

Under the Tuscan sun

Under the Tuscan sun is a beautiful journey of a woman who gets cheated on by her husband, and as a result she falls into a depression, faces writers block and lose all motivation to do something in her life. By chance, she gets to go for a trip to Tuscany where she ends up purchasing and renovating a villa. In due process she discovers herself again.

I loved this movie because it’s a sweet movie which uplifts me every time I watch it!

Only you (1994)

Only you is a movie about a woman who believes that she is going to marry a man named Damon Bradley and has full faith in that belief. After a while she gets to know that there is a man with the same name going to Rome and she chases after him. What follows are weird circumstances which test her faith in that theory but in the end, she connects all the dots and gets what she wanted.

I love this movie because it gives me hope that we will get what we wanted all along just not in the package that we expect or desire!

Holiday in the vineyards

This movie gives your typical hallmark romance vibes. The plot is that a wealthy son being coerced by her mother to go to a small town in disguise and close a big sale but there he falls in love with a girl who he is supposed to deceive. But I can watch it again and again because of how wholesome it is, the cast is beautiful, the story is not something unique but very sweet. This can easily be your lazy holiday or a weekend watch.

Last call for Istanbul

Last call for Istanbul is a Turkish movie but its available in English on Netflix. It’s a movie about 2 people who by chance meet at the airport and ends up spending the whole night together, during that time you get to know that they are in fact together since long and this night is basically their last night for them to determine whether their relationship can work or not.

It’s an amazing movie, I have always loved those movies where a couple fight against all odds and choose each other. In my opinion this movie has addressed the differences a couple faces in a relationship beautifully.

What’s love got to do with it?

Out of all the movies I mentioned, I saved best for the last. It is such a beautiful movie exploring the dynamics of an arrange and a love marriage in the south Asian communities. Zoe, who is a British, born white woman agrees to make a documentary about her best friend’s wedding who is a British Pakistani man, and he is marrying a Pakistani woman born and brought up in Pakistan and their relationship is arranged by their parents.

The dynamics, the questions, the traditions, the business side of the relationships are shown very sensibly in the movie. I loved watching every part of it and highly recommend it!
